Rahr Runs and Remembers the February 2010 Brewery Roof Collapse in a Big Way

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

January kicked off a new year and we hope you started it off on the right foot. We at DFWRUNS started off on both feet with beer in hand as we launched the 2012 Rahr & Sons Brewery social run series! (It takes a lot of coordination, but we’re just that good!)

In the same way a beer connoisseur pairs the perfect brew with his seasonal dish, we went ahead and paired this year’s social runs with the popular Saturday Brewery Tours.

The run is free, but for just $10 runners can enjoy the tour & tastings plus T&P Tavern’s delicious dish upon return from the 3 mile run/walk. It’s not a race, but we encourage you to belly up to our sign in booth fast! This special price is for runners only and the $10 fee will end when the runners depart at 11am. We recommend arriving to sign in at 701 Galveston Avenue in Fort Worth by 10:45am.

You don’t want to miss your chance to taste how the race was born! Snowmageddon is a Rahr brew commemorating the 2010 storm which caused the Brewery roof to collapse — a tragedy which sparked the relationship with Trinity Habitat for Humanity. So come out February 11th for food, fun, and music by Dusty Morris followed by the special check presentation to this beneficiary of the Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest 5K.
